What is Business Casual?
One of the most commonly asked question is:
what is business casual?
Well I was able to find a great link that describes what business casual is if you are unsure. This link describes everything from grooming tips to what to wear for both genders. If for some reason you are too lazy to click on the link, which I have no idea how anyone can be that lazy, I’ll break down business casual right now.
Okay here we go. For guys, wear a button up collard shirt (Aloha shirts are fine), but try to stay away from polo’s. Your pants need to be slacks of any basic color. Make sure it fits well and is not too baggy. DO NOT SHOW UP IN JEANS! As far as shoes go, wear dress shoes not sneakers. And no, chuck taylors are not dress shoes. You can get some cheap ones at Payless. Ties are not necessary but please tuck in your shirt and wear a leather belt if you can.
Now ladies, you can wear either pants or skirts but as with the guys they need to be classy. Do not show up in jeans or a jeans skirt. Skirts should be knee length (approximate, just don’t get carried away. use good judgment — if you think its too short it probably is). For your tops just be sure you aren’t showing too much cleavage. No one wants to see your boobs hanging all over the place as its pretty distracting. As with the skirts use good judgment on this. Pantie hose or leggings are not required. Try to avoid bulky or too much jewelry. Make sure your shoes are classy don’t (i.e. don’t show up in clear heels or stilettos).
