More Updates to the Site

Howz’it everybody? Good job on those Krispy Kreme’s and don’t forget to keep selling those Zippy’s benefit chili tickets!

I just want to keep everyone updated on what’s going on with the website. Chris and I, along with a friend have been working hard to bring you the best site possible. I think we already can comfortably claim best site at Shidler College, possibly best site of all AMA Collegiate Chapters. We are adding a few more bells and whistles to ease and enrich your experience while on our site.

Photo Gallery
The gallery can be viewed in our members section. It’s a flash gallery so it’s real easy to use. The photo navigation is simple and quick. We will be updating the pictures as we go. We ARE NOT going to put every single picture up rather we will be selecting the best pictures from the events. If you would like to send us some pictures, please feel free to you can either send them to Chris, Myself (Tyler), or the club email. If you would like to view ALL of the pictures, I strongly recommend adding us on Facebook (how to add us will be covered later in this entry)

Google Search
Okay, remember when I promised you guys in the beginning of the semester that we will have a Google search bar so you wouldn’t need to navigate away from the site? Well we will be integrating a Google search box on the front of our page. Expect it to be up soon!

Comment/Archive System
Blog posts that anyone makes (the ones on the front page) can now be commented on, just like a regular blog. We’ve also added an archive system which can be found in the About section. Basically, the archive system just saves previous blogs for easy viewing. That way if you ever need to refer to an old blog, you can find it easily. Once the Google search bar is up you will also be able to search for the blog or keyword on the site, but the archive is still there for convenience.

Follow Us
The bottom right hand side of the main page has also been updated to show all the external accounts that we have, such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Adding us is just a few clicks away so you really have no reason to not know about events.

Finally if you have a website or social networking account add a link to our page, it’ll help us out with our page ranking as well as getting more people to know about AMA and the things we’re doing. Remember never be satisfied with where you’re at always try to improve and evolve. That’s what were striving to do with AMA and this new website is just one phase of that.
