Our social event at Kiki’s this past Friday was a blast! Thank you to those who made it out. A lot more people showed up than we expected which is always a plus! Unfortunately, we were unable to have our beer pong tournament but king’s cup was just as fun!
UPCOMING EVENTS
Public Relations Workshop
Don’t forget, this Thursday (March 4th) is the Public Relations Workshop. It will be at 4:30pm and the room will shortly be announced. Be sure to bring your notepad and wear business casual attire.
SUPER CLUBS DAY
It’s that time again!!! Super Clubs Day, the day where all of the business clubs compete against each other in a variety of sports and brainy challenges. It will take place this Sunday, March 7th from 8:30 am – 3:30pm. The event will be held at Kanewai Park, behind Hawaiian Studies Parking Garage. We will have a tent set-up. Look for our Banner!. LET’S BRING HOME THE GOLD!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU SHOW UP EARLY!
The events will start exactly on time and we cannot postpone the games to wait for people who show up late. You will be asked to sign in before the events start and if you do not sign in within that allotted time frame, you will not be able to participate.
Super Club’s Day is a MANDATORY EVENT to obtain active status!. If you have not signed-up for an event or you want to check which event you signed up for, email Kelli (muratak@hawaii.edu).
This semester, we are sporting RED. If you haven’t ordered a shirt, you will not be able to participate. If you want to make sure you’ve ordered a shirt, contact Jocelyn (jkaku@hawaii.edu). If you ordered a shirt but have not paid, make sure you bring $10 with you to cover the cost of the shirt on the day of.
FUNDRAISER
ZIPPY’S BENEFIT CHILI
We are selling Zippy’s Chili tickets for 1 1/2 pounds of chili for $7. To get tickets, contact Kirstin (seal@hawaii.edu). All monies and unsold tickets are due at the next GM, March 10. This is a good opportunity to meet your fundraiser quota.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
AMA saves lives! Read what our National Chapter does to save lives. To get involved with this event, Katie will have questions based on the website at the next GM (March 10). She will have prizes for those who answer them correctly! Please visit (http://www.amasaveslives.com/).

Get Ready!
Was it just me or was last week SUPER busy?!
Thank you to all that helped us during our Valentine rose sale. It was a total success!! Make sure if you see Kirsten walking around, give her a high five for organizing the fundraiser event.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to our crazy yet fun scavenger hunt last week Friday. It was a blast! Hopefully everyone was able to make new friends and have a good time. The final scores were VERY close but there could only be one winner. CONGRATS goes to Jocelyn’s team for scoring the most points. Make use of those Starbucks gift cards!

Joint Hiking Social
This Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm we will be partnering up with FMA and BEST in a joint hiking social at Manawili Falls in Kailua. Meet at Shidler Courtyard beforehand if you want to carpool down. Make sure to bring your bug spray, water, snack, camera and swim wear if you want to swim in the fresh water pools. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, contact Mike Amado.
IBC Networking 101
Even though RSVP’s were due, there are still some openings left. If you are interested in attending, please contact Kelli Murata ASAP.
Super Clubs Day Practice
Practice makes perfect! We will be practicing for the prestigious Super Clubs Day event on February 21st (Saturday) from 11 am – 2 pm at Ala Wai Park. Bring shoes, sunscreen, and water. We will be practicing Football, Volleyball, and Basketball. A light lunch will be provided. If you are interested, contact Mike Amado.

A busy week for AMA

General Meeting #2
This Wednesday, February 10th is our 2nd general meeting. This will be the last meeting that we will be accepting membership dues and applications. If you don’t have an application or if you are having printer problems, it’s okay, we got you covered. Jocelyn will have applications available. Please turn in your money and apps to her. If you forgot, it’s $50 for a semester and $65 for year.
“The Art of Self-Branding”
This Thursday, February 11th is “The Art of Self-Branding” with L.P. “Neenz” Faleafine seminar. Muhayla will be collecting $5 for the event after GM 2. Seat are limited so I suggest that you act quickly! You don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Valentines is less than a week away. Kirstin will be collecting money, unsold tickets, and tracking sheets at GM 2. If you have any deliveries for Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to add $3 per order.

Scavenger Hunt
Let the craziness begin!! This Friday, February 12th is our famous Scavenger Hunt! We will be meeting at Shidler Courtyard by 7:30pm. You’ll have 3 hours to finish a a list of 60 outrageous challenges. Sounds easy? Come and find out. Do you have what it takes to be the 2010 Scavenger Hunt Champions?
For those attending the Scavenger Hunt, we are selling $5 tickets to the FMAngels event. More information will be given out at GM 2.
IBC Social: Networking 101
Need to work on your networking skills? Want to meet other business club members? Then Networking 101 is for you. It will take place on February 20th from 4 pm to 7:30 pm at the Hukilau Sports Bar and Grill. There is a 12 person cap.

Hiking Joint Social
There will be a hiking social on February 20th. Meet at Shidler Courtyard by 8:30 am. The hike will be at Maunawili falls. Please bring water, food, camera, insect repellent, good hiking shoes and swim gear if you plan of swimming in the fresh water pool or dive, like a crazy person, off the falls.

Career Expo
This Thursday, February 11th from 10am to 2pm is the Career Fair at Shidler College of Business. Please dress in business attire and bring copies of your resume.

Hawaii Self Storage is currently accepting resumes for a Marketing Intern position available immediately. Applicants must be savvy with Photoshop (graphic design and layouts). Tasks will also include developing and executing marketing strategies and programs. A Part-time position is also available. Paid $10$12 per hour
